LMG 7.62 x 51mm (NATO) is a belt fed, air cooled gas operated weapon. It comes with a folding bipod and polymer stock giving it an appearance of MG 240 but heart of the machinery is the receiver as this LMG has single piece machine receiver made of alloy steel which is different from the MAG’s sheath metal rivetted receiver. The LMG use the FN Mag tilting bolt locking mechanism but the most important difference is the addition of the change lever with three modes safety, auto and single which could be changed by a right-handed shooters thumb. A Picatinny rail allows all the modern warfare fitment and a smaller rail for a vertical foregrip under the gas regulator, this increases the controllability during sustained firing on the move. The mags are quick change, rifle barrel has been choked down from 24.8 inches to 18 inches. A new spiral fluted flash hider compensates for increased flash from a shorter barrel.
